STAMFORD, Conn — Grace Christian School (GCS), in Stamford, CT, is excited to announce their new Headmaster, Chris DeSanctis. DeSanctis grew up in Trumbull, CT, and has lived in Fairfield for the last nine years.

“I’m elated to serve at Grace Christian School to continue the strong tradition of providing children with an education that is rooted in the Christian faith and academically rigorous. Preparing students to become engaged citizens and effective leaders, who are morally grounded, is a hallmark of GCS.”

DeSanctis’ background spans education, non-profit, and public service sectors. He holds a Connecticut state teaching certificate, has taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels, and is the former Director of Development for Christian Heritage School located in Trumbull, CT.

DeSanctis has been published in American Thinker, Hartford Courant, Connecticut Post, and ChristianPost.com, among others, and has made appearances as a commentator on CT Fox News, WTNH News 8, WDRC Radio, and WGRC PA Radio.

DeSanctis’ public service experience extends back to the late 1990s, when he served as a Policy and Communications Aide to the former Mayor of Jersey City, N.J., playing a key leadership role in education reform initiatives for the city of 250,000 people. In 2006, he was appointed by former Connecticut Governor Jodi Rell to the Metro North-New Haven Rail Council and by House Minority Leader Larry Cafero to the Connecticut Statewide Property Tax Cap Commission.

DeSanctis holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Regent University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He is married to Deneen, a Speech-Language Pathologist, and they are the proud parents of three young children.
